Graduate Student Teaching Assistant: 2022-2024

Designed new Writing Intensive Superfund Site grant writing assignment and lesson plans to include active learning about science communication for EEB 372 students.

Conservation Land Management Internship: June-November 2018

Seeds of Success Collection for the partnership between the Bureau of Land Management and Chicago Botanical Gardens.

Paleobotany Researcher: Summer 2017   

Collaborated with Dr. Regan Dunn to carry out a study on the reconstruction of a paleo-forest canopy—fossil collection and make educational content for museum guests as a part of the Research Experience for Undergraduates program at The Field Museum.

Maricopa County Department of Public Health Office of Epidemiology Internship: Summer 2016

Assisted with preparation for a pilot study to bring air conditioning to homebound seniors and prepared communication materials on climate change and public health.

Oberlin College Workshops and Learning Sessions: 2015-2018

Taught intro biology workshops to undergraduate students and tutored in neuroscience and chemistry.

The Synapse: Oberlin College Intercollegiate Science Magazine Content Editor: 2015-2018

 Collaborated with student writers to craft science interest stories.

Undergraduate Researcher: 2016-2018

Worked in 3 research labs at Oberlin College. Studied lateral root formation in the Laskowski Lab, squirrel attention to bird alarm calls in the Tarvin lab, and mosquito feeding preference in the Garvin lab.

Vice Chairperson of the Farmington Beautification committee. Leading projects related to trash collection and beautifying the city.

Organizational board member to bring scientific research talks from University of Michigan scientists into prisons to educate the population about ecology and evolutionary biology.
